Driving action for sustainable and resilient agriculture across continents
18 partners from around the world are joining forces to sustainably enhance agrobiodiversity and promote minor starchy root and tuber (MRT) crops across Europe and beyond. Coordinated by CIRAD, the project unites partners from nine European countries, five outermost regions, and one African country, including research institutes, universities, farmers’ associations, SMEs, and NGOs, to drive sustainable innovations across the agri-food value chain.
ROTATES in action:
- 6 Pilot Living Labs testing management practices and ecosystem impacts across Cyprus, France, Portugal, French Guiana, Madeira, and the Republic of the Congo
- 4 Breeding Hubs for yam, taro, sweet potato, and cassava
- 6 business case studies providing diagnoses of challenges and opportunities for MRT crops
Together, we are turning research into real-world solutions for resilient, biodiverse, and sustainable agri-food systems!
