Pilot Living Lab 2 – France

The French pLL will be hosted by Avignon University and managed by its staff members conducting their research at the INRAE research unit UR 1115 ‘Plants and horticultural cropping systems. This research unit uses spearheaded ecophysiological and ecological approaches to evaluate and develop innovative cropping systems that ensure the durability of fruit and vegetable production in the Mediterranean basin of Provence under the pressure of climate change. It is nested within ca. 30 ha of fully-equipped on-site experimental fields at the heart of one of the main area of fruit and vegetable production of France fueled by a dynamic industrial network and a reknowned student training ecosystems at Avignon University thanks to three master degrees in the agricultural sciences and a PhD graduate school.
